Help CenterYes. Homeschool Pro gives students access to classes beyond their assigned grade level, making it easier to review earlier concepts, work ahead, or choose a different level for a particular subject.
Students in kindergarten through 8th grade generally receive access to:
- Classes at their assigned grade level
- Classes one grade level below
- Classes one grade level above
For example, a 7th-grade student can access 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade classes.
This flexibility can be especially helpful when a student:
- Needs additional practice with a subject
- Is ready for more challenging material
- Learns different subjects at different grade levels
- Wants to review a skill before moving forward
A student might use grade-level language arts, review math from the previous grade, and explore science from the next grade. Access to a class does not mean the student is required to complete it.
Note: Kindergarten students can access kindergarten and 1st-grade classes because there is no grade level below kindergarten.
Students in grades 9 through 12 receive access to all available high school classes, rather than only the grades immediately above and below their assigned grade.
This allows high school students and their parents to build a course schedule based on the student’s previous coursework, academic readiness, interests, credit needs, and grdauation plans.

Children are not always at the same grade level in every subject. A student may be ready for above-grade-level work in math while still needing their regular grade level, or additional time, in reading and writing.

Yes. Parents may email their assigned advisor to request that specific classes be added to or removed from a student’s account.

- The student’s full name
- The student’s current grade level
- The name of the grade levels you would like added or removed
