Because RemoteLearning.School serves homeschool families throughout the United States and around the world, students live too far apart for one central ceremony to be practical for most families.
How Can We Find a Local Homeschool Graduation Ceremony?
Independent homeschool organizations sometimes arrange graduation ceremonies for students in their area. A good place to begin is by searching local Facebook groups for homeschool families.
Try searching for phrases such as:

- Homeschool graduation ceremony near me
- Local homeschool senior events
- Homeschool commencement in [your area]
You can also contact:
- Local homeschool associations
- Homeschool co-ops and support groups
- Umbrella schools
- Churches or community organizations with homeschool programs
- Local charter programs that work with homeschool students
Some ceremonies may be open only to members or enrolled students, while others may allow independent homeschoolers to participate. Contact the organizer directly to ask about eligibility, registration deadlines, fees, dress requirements, and any documents they may request.

Can We Organize Our Own Graduation Celebration?
Yes. Many homeschool families hold their own graduation celebration at home, at a community venue, or together with other local homeschool families.
A family-planned ceremony can include:

- A diploma presentation
- A student speech
- Photos or a slideshow
- Recognition of the student’s achievements
- A celebration with friends and relatives
The ceremony can be as formal or informal as your student would like. An in-person ceremony is a celebration of graduation and is separate from the student’s academic records or completion documents.
