My student can't open the last lesson in a course

If the final chapter or lesson in a course is difficult to reach or click in the course sidebar, you can open it through the Search by lesson title menu instead.

This can happen in longer courses when the lesson list extends to the bottom of the browser window. The lesson is still available, and the search menu provides an easier way to open it.

How to Find and Open the Lesson

  1. Open the Homeschool Pro course.
  2. Look in the left sidebar under the course title and progress bar.
  3. Select Search by lesson title.

Search by lesson title menu below the course title and progress bar in Homeschool Pro

Select Search by lesson title below the course progress bar.

  1. The menu will expand and display a searchable list of all lessons, Study Guides, activities, and other items in the course.
  2. Find the lesson in either of these ways:
    • Enter the lesson name in the search field.
    • Scroll through the lesson list until you find it.
  3. Select the lesson title to open it.

Search for the lesson by name or scroll through the complete lesson list, then select the lesson you want to open.

Tip: The expanded lesson list has its own scrollbar. Use that scrollbar to move toward the final lessons in a long course.

The screenshots show a 6th Grade Science course, but these steps work the same way in other Homeschool Pro classes.

What If I Do Not Know the Lesson Name?

You do not need to know the exact name. Open Search by lesson title, then scroll through the list until you find the chapter, lesson, Study Guide, or activity you want.

The items are shown in the same order in which they appear in the course.
