If a class video in Homeschool Pro is blank, missing, or not loading, the problem is usually related to the browser, device, or internet connection. Try the steps below in order. After each step, return to the lesson and check whether the video appears.
Troubleshooting a Class Video
- Refresh the lesson page.
Reload the page, then wait a few seconds to see whether the video appears. - Clear your browser’s cache and restart the browser.
Cached browser files can sometimes prevent lesson videos from loading correctly. After clearing the cache, close the browser completely and open it again. It is also a good idea to confirm that you are using the latest version of your browser. - Try a different browser.
Open Homeschool Pro in another browser and return to the same lesson. This can help determine whether the issue is limited to your usual browser. - Open the lesson in an Incognito or Private window.
Browser extensions, including ad blockers and privacy tools, can occasionally interfere with online class videos. A private browsing window can help rule out an extension-related problem. - Restart the device.
It may sound simple, but restarting the computer, tablet, or other device often resolves temporary browser and connection problems. - Try another device, if one is available.
Sign in to the student account on a different computer or tablet and open the same class lesson. - Try a different internet connection, if possible.
Workplace, school, library, and other managed networks sometimes use firewalls or content filters that block video providers. Try a home network or mobile hotspot to see whether the video loads there.
Helpful clue: If the video works on another device or internet connection, the lesson itself is likely working correctly. The issue is probably related to the original browser, device, network, or security settings.
