Help CenterAfterschool Plus is a supplemental learning program for students who already attend a public or private school. Homeschool Pro is a complete K-12 online homeschool curriculum for families who are homeschooling.
What Is Afterschool Plus?
Afterschool Plus is designed for students who are enrolled in a public or private school and want additional learning opportunities outside their regular school day.
Families may use Afterschool Plus for:
- Extra practice in academic subjects
- Help reviewing concepts learned at school
- Skill-building
- Educational enrichment
- Electives and extracurricular interests
- Learning during weekends, school breaks, or summer
Afterschool Plus includes access to online classes, but it is not intended to serve as a student’s complete homeschool curriculum. It does not include many of the homeschool-specific services and features available with Homeschool Pro.
What Is Homeschool Pro?
Homeschool Pro is designed specifically for families who are homeschooling. It can serve as the student’s primary K-12 homeschool program, with teacher-led, self-paced classes in core subjects, electives, and extracurricular areas.
In addition to online class access, Homeschool Pro includes homeschool-focused features such as:
- A digital student ID card
- Support from a dedicated Homeschool Advisor
- Instructor grading for applicable written assignments
- Course completion certificates
- Help with homeschool planning, records, and transcripts
- Access to classes above or below the student’s assigned grade level
- Additional tools and services created for homeschool families
Homeschool Pro gives parents more than a collection of supplemental classes. It provides the curriculum, support, and student resources needed to manage online homeschooling more confidently.
Which Membership Should I Choose?
Choose Afterschool Plus if your child:
- Is currently enrolled in a public or private school
- Needs extra academic help or practice
- Wants access to enrichment classes or electives
- Does not need a complete homeschool program
Choose Homeschool Pro if your child:
- Is currently being homeschooled
- Will be leaving public or private school to begin homeschooling
- Needs a complete K-12 online homeschool curriculum
- Needs homeschool-specific support, grading, records, or student services
Important: Families who are homeschooling should select Homeschool Pro. Afterschool Plus is a supplemental program and is not designed to replace a complete homeschool curriculum.
