You can enroll in Homeschool Pro at any time of year. There are no fixed enrollment periods, semester deadlines, or required school-year start dates.
Families can begin during the traditional back-to-school season, in the middle of the school year, after a school break, or whenever they are ready to start homeschooling.
When Can My Student Start Classes?
After purchasing a Homeschool Pro membership, you will receive access to the Parent Portal. You must then complete the Learner Enrollment Form for each student you want to add.
RemoteLearning.School will create the student accounts after receiving the form. Student login details are generally emailed within 2 to 3 business days after the Learner Enrollment Form is submitted.
Important: The 2 to 3 business day processing period begins when you submit the Learner Enrollment Form, not when you purchase the membership.
Once the student login information arrives, your child can sign in and begin taking classes.
Can We Start Homeschooling in the Middle of the School Year?
Yes. You do not need to wait until the beginning of a new semester or school year.
Homeschool Pro’s K-12 online homeschool curriculum is self-paced, so students can begin with the classes and lessons that fit their current grade level, academic needs, and previous coursework.
Families often enroll during the school year because:
- They are withdrawing a student from public or private school
- Their current homeschool curriculum is not working well
- Their student needs additional academic support
- A family move or schedule change requires a more flexible program
Your Homeschool Advisor can help you plan the transition, choose appropriate classes, and understand the steps required to begin homeschooling.
Can the Homeschool Advisor Help With Withdrawal and State Forms?
Yes. Homeschool Pro includes access to a Homeschool Advisor who can help you understand the homeschool requirements that apply where you live.
If your child currently attends a public or private school, your advisor can help with questions about:
- Withdrawing your child from their current school
- Preparing a withdrawal letter or other required notice
- Identifying forms that may need to be submitted
- Understanding state or local homeschool requirements
- Notices of intent or homeschool registration
- Required subjects
- Attendance and recordkeeping
- Testing, evaluations, or portfolio requirements
- Planning a smooth transition into the Homeschool Pro curriculum
When possible, contact your Homeschool Advisor before your child’s final day at their current school. This gives you time to understand the process and prepare any paperwork that may be required.
Important: Requirements vary by state and location. Your advisor can help you understand and prepare the appropriate forms, but parents are responsible for reviewing, signing, and submitting required documents to the correct authority.

Do We Have to Follow a Traditional School Calendar?
No. Homeschool Pro lessons are pre-recorded and available on demand. Students do not need to attend scheduled live classes or wait for a particular lesson date.
Your family can decide:
- Which days your student completes lessons
- What time the school day begins
- How many classes or lessons to complete
- When to take breaks
- Whether to follow a traditional or year-round homeschool schedule
You should still follow any attendance, instructional-time, or reporting requirements that apply where you live. Your Homeschool Advisor can help you understand what records your family may need to maintain.
