No. Homeschool Pro lessons are pre-recorded and can be taken at any time. Students do not need to log in at a particular hour or attend scheduled live class meetings.
Families can create a homeschool schedule that works around work hours, appointments, extracurricular activities, travel, and each student’s learning style.
Can We Create Our Own Homeschool Schedule?
Yes. You decide:
- Which days your student completes lessons
- What time the school day begins
- Which subjects your student works on each day
- How many lessons to complete in one sitting
- When to take breaks or continue a lesson later
Some families follow a traditional Monday through Friday morning schedule. Others prefer later start times, shorter school days, or different subjects on different days.
Homeschool Pro provides the online lessons and curriculum materials, while your family chooses the daily and weekly routine.
Can My Student Pause and Return to a Lesson?
Yes. Students can pause, rewind, and rewatch lesson videos as often as needed. They can also return to a class later and continue learning.
This can be helpful when a student:
- Needs more time to understand a concept
- Wants to take notes during the lesson
- Needs a break before finishing
- Wants to review material before a quiz or assignment
- Moves more quickly through a familiar topic
Since there is no live class to miss, students can spend the amount of time they need on each lesson.
Does Self-Paced Mean We Should Not Have a Routine?
A regular routine is still helpful for many students, even though there is no required class time.
You might begin with a simple plan such as:
- Choose a consistent time to begin the school day.
- Decide which classes or lessons should be completed that day.
- Include breaks between subjects.
- Check your student’s progress at the end of the day or week.
- Adjust the schedule when your family needs more flexibility.
Younger students may need more help following the schedule. Older students may be able to manage much of their homeschool lesson plan independently, with regular parent check-ins.
The self-paced format lets you create structure without requiring every day to look exactly the same.
