Every Homeschool Pro course certificate can be verified online in just a few seconds.
Certificate verification allows relatives, evaluators, homeschool co-ops, organizations, and other recipients to confirm that a certificate was issued to the named student, identify the completed course, and verify that the credential came directly from Remote Learning School.
Each certificate has its own unique Certificate ID and online certificate page. A recipient can open the certificate through a direct link or QR code, or locate it manually using the Certificate ID.

Online verification gives families a simple way to show that a student’s certificate is connected to a genuine record in the Homeschool Pro Student Certificate Portal.
In this video, a Homeschool Pro parent opens a student’s Aerospace Engineering certificate and selects Verify Credential. The verification panel displays green confirmation marks for the credential name, issuing organization, student name, and current certificate status.
See how a Homeschool Pro certificate can be verified online through its official certificate page.
The student’s certificate remains easy to share, while the recipient can independently confirm the information directly through the Certificate Portal.
What Does Certificate Verification Confirm?
The verification panel confirms important details connected to the certificate, including:
- The certificate or credential name
- The issuing organization
- The student’s name
- The issue date
- The certificate’s current status
This information is loaded directly from the Certificate Portal’s records rather than relying only on a screenshot, printed copy, or file sent by the family.
Who Can Verify a Certificate?
Anyone with access to the individual certificate page or Certificate ID can verify it.
For example, a family may share a certificate with:
- A relative celebrating the student’s achievement
- A homeschool evaluator
- A co-op or educational organization
- A portfolio reviewer
- A tutor or instructor
- An internship coordinator
- A college or career program
- Another organization requesting proof of completed coursework
The recipient does not need the student’s Certificate Portal login information. They can open the shared certificate page or search for the certificate using its unique ID.
What Is the Certificate ID?
Each issued certificate has a unique alphanumeric Certificate ID.
The Certificate ID is displayed on the individual certificate record. It allows someone to locate that specific certificate without needing the student’s complete portal link.
The ID should be copied exactly as shown. Even one missing or incorrect number or letter may prevent the certificate from appearing in search results.
Method 1: Verify a Certificate Through Its Direct Link
The easiest method is usually to send the recipient the direct link to the individual certificate.
To obtain the link:
- Sign in to the student’s Certificate Portal.
- Find the certificate.
- Select See Details.
- Copy the complete web address from the browser’s address bar.
- Send the link to the intended recipient.
When the recipient opens the link, they can view the individual certificate and select Verify Credential.
Sharing the individual certificate link does not require you to share the student’s complete Certificate Portal profile.
Method 2: Verify a Certificate Through Its QR Code
Each certificate also has a QR code that links directly to its online record.
To download it:
- Open the individual certificate page.
- Select Download Credential.
- Find QR in the expanded menu.
- Select the download icon.
- Save or share the QR code image.
When someone scans the QR code with a phone or compatible device, the individual certificate page will open. They can then select Verify Credential to view the confirmation panel.
A certificate QR code can be useful in:
- A printed homeschool portfolio
- A student resume
- An evaluation packet
- A presentation
- A digital document
- A project display
- A graduation announcement
Method 3: Search by Certificate ID
A certificate can also be located manually when the recipient does not have its direct link or QR code.
Step 1: Find the Certificate ID
Look near the bottom of the certificate or on its online detail page and copy the complete Certificate ID.
Step 2: Visit the Certificate Portal
Go to:
Open the Student Certificate Portal
Step 3: Enter the Certificate ID
Enter the complete Certificate ID into the Certificate Verification search field.
The matching certificate record should appear when the ID is entered correctly.

Enter the complete Certificate ID into the Certificate Verification search field to locate the individual credential.
How Do I Open the Verification Panel?
Once the individual certificate page is open:
- Confirm that the student name and course are correct.
- Select the blue Verify Credential button.
- The Certificate Verification panel will appear.
- Review the confirmation marks and certificate information.
The verification window confirms the certificate information directly from the Certificate Portal database.

Select Verify Credential to confirm the certificate name, issuing organization, student name, issue date, and status.
What Do the Verification Checks Mean?
The verification panel may display confirmation marks for several parts of the record.
Credential Name
This confirms the name of the course certificate being viewed.
Organization Name
This confirms that the credential was issued by Remote Learning School.
Owner Name
This confirms the name of the student connected to the certificate.
Certificate Status
This confirms the issue date and current status of the certificate.
Together, these checks show that the information being viewed matches the certificate record maintained in the Student Certificate Portal.
Can a Printed Certificate Be Verified?
Yes. A printed certificate can still be verified through its Certificate ID.
The recipient can:
- Locate the Certificate ID on the printed credential.
- Visit the Student Certificate Portal.
- Enter the ID into the Certificate Verification search field.
- Open the matching certificate.
- Select Verify Credential.
Families can also print or attach the certificate QR code so someone can scan it rather than manually entering the ID.
Can a Downloaded PDF or Image Be Verified?
Yes. Downloading a certificate as a PDF or image does not remove its connection to the online record.
The certificate remains stored in the Student Certificate Portal and can still be:
- Located through its Certificate ID
- Opened through its direct link
- Accessed through its QR code
- Verified through the Verify Credential button
Downloading, printing, or sharing a certificate does not change the original online record.
Does the Certificate Include Course Documentation?
Yes. Each certificate page also links to the full syllabus for the completed course.
The syllabus provides supporting information about the coursework represented by the certificate. This may be useful for:
- Homeschool evaluations
- Portfolios
- Family records
- Course documentation
- Co-ops or educational organizations
- Other situations where additional academic detail is requested
Evaluators or other recipients can scroll down on the individual certificate page to view or download the attached course syllabus.
Certificate verification confirms the credential record, while the syllabus provides additional detail about what the course covered.
Why Is Online Verification Helpful?
A screenshot or printed certificate can show an accomplishment, but online verification gives the recipient another way to confirm the record directly.
Verification may be helpful when:
- Sharing achievements with relatives
- Preparing a homeschool portfolio
- Providing documentation to an evaluator
- Keeping permanent family records
- Applying to an internship or educational opportunity
- Adding an achievement to a student resume
- Sharing an older student’s certificate on LinkedIn
Every certificate can be verified online, and the credential name, issuing organization, student name, and issue date are confirmed through the portal.
Do Certificates Expire?
No. Homeschool Pro course certificates do not expire.
They remain available in the Student Certificate Portal and can continue to be viewed, downloaded, shared, and verified online in the future.
This means a family can return to the certificate later when it is needed for a portfolio, evaluation, college preparation, employment, or another purpose.
Is the Student’s Complete Portal Shared During Verification?
Not necessarily.
If you share an individual certificate link or certificate QR code, the recipient is directed to that specific credential.
This can be preferable when someone needs to verify one course but does not need access to the student’s complete profile or full certificate collection.
If you share the student’s complete profile link or portal QR code, the recipient may be able to view the profile photo, cover image, bio, and all certificates displayed there.
Choose the sharing method based on how much information the recipient needs.
What If the Certificate Cannot Be Found?
First, check the following:
- Confirm that the Certificate ID was entered exactly as shown.
- Remove any accidental spaces before or after the ID.
- Make sure no numbers or letters were omitted.
- Try copying the ID directly from the online certificate page.
- Open the direct certificate link if one is available.
- Try scanning the certificate QR code.
- Refresh the Certificate Portal page.
- Try another browser.
If it is a certificate from a previous school year, it may still be in the process of being migrated from JuniorFolio into the new Student Certificate Portal.
If the certificate should already be available but cannot be located, please contact us and include:
- The student’s full name
- The student’s @remotelearning.school email address
- The course name
- The Certificate ID, if available
- The approximate date the certificate was issued
- A screenshot of the error or search result
What If the Verify Credential Button Does Not Work?
Try the following:
- Refresh the certificate page.
- Close and reopen the browser.
- Try another modern browser.
- Disable any browser extension that may be blocking pop-up windows.
- Try another device, if available.
- Open the certificate through its direct link rather than a saved browser tab.
If the problem continues, contact us and include the certificate link, Certificate ID, device, browser, and a screenshot of what appears after selecting Verify Credential.
What If the Certificate Information Is Incorrect?
Do not edit the downloaded certificate yourself.
If the student’s name, course name, issue date, or another detail appears incorrect, please contact us and include:
- The student’s full name
- The student’s @remotelearning.school email address
- The course name
- The Certificate ID
- A screenshot showing the incorrect information
- The correct information that should appear
The online certificate record should be corrected so that the downloadable certificate and verification panel display consistent information.
Should I Test the Verification Before Sharing?
Yes. Before sending a certificate to someone else:
- Open the certificate link.
- Confirm that the correct student and course appear.
- Select Verify Credential.
- Review the verification panel.
- Test the QR code, if you plan to share it.
- Confirm that any attached syllabus opens correctly.
Testing the certificate first can help prevent sending the wrong link or QR code.
The Bottom Line
Each Homeschool Pro course certificate has a unique Certificate ID and can be verified online.
A recipient can:
- Open the direct certificate link,
- Scan the certificate QR code, or
- Enter the Certificate ID into the Certificate Portal search field.
Once the certificate page opens, selecting Verify Credential confirms the certificate name, issuing organization, student name, issue date, and current status.
