What is the Student Certificate Portal?

9 min. readlast update: 08.22.2026

The Homeschool Pro Student Certificate Portal is a private, personalized online space where each student’s course certificates are organized in one place.

Instead of searching through emails, download folders, or scattered files, families can return to the portal whenever they need to view, verify, download, print, or share a student’s achievements. Each certificate includes a unique Certificate ID and online verification, and supporting course documentation remains connected to the credential.

See Why These Certificates Matter at Every Age

The Student Certificate Portal is useful for keeping homeschool records organized, but this family shows how it can mean much more to the students themselves. It gives them something real to celebrate, personalize, share, and build on after completing a course.

In this video, three Homeschool Pro siblings use their certificates in very different ways.

The younger kid proudly views his 4th Grade Math certificate on screen. His family also printed it in color and plans to frame it for the wall. His mother shares the achievement with Grandma, turning completion of the course into a reward he is genuinely excited about.

His sister is most excited about making the Certificate Portal feel like her own space. She personalizes it with her preferred profile photo and banner, while her bio and certificates remain organized together on one page.

Their older brother uses his Aerospace Engineering certificate to help build toward his future. Because he hopes to become an aerospace engineer, he adds the certificate to LinkedIn as part of his digital resume, giving him a completed achievement to show alongside his interest in the field.

See how one Homeschool Pro family uses certificates to celebrate accomplishments, personalize student profiles, share proud moments, and build toward future goals.

The same Certificate Portal can serve a different purpose for every student. One child may want a certificate framed, another may enjoy creating a personalized achievement page, and an older student may use a certificate to strengthen a professional profile.

For this family, having something meaningful to see, save, share, and build on makes completing a course feel like a real accomplishment rather than simply reaching the end of another class.

What Is Included in the Certificate Portal?

Each student receives their own Certificate Portal with their issued credentials and a customizable student profile.

The portal includes:

  • Digital certificates for completed Homeschool Pro courses
  • A unique Certificate ID for each credential
  • Online certificate verification
  • A private student profile
  • A customizable profile photo and cover image
  • A short student bio
  • A full course syllabus connected to each certificate
  • Options to download, print, or share certificates
  • LinkedIn sharing for eligible older students
  • Permanent access to certificates that do not expire

The portal is private by default. Your family decides when and how the student’s profile or individual certificates are shared.

When Will Certificates Appear?

Certificates are added automatically after a student completes an eligible Homeschool Pro course.

If your student is new or has not completed a course yet, the Certificate Portal may initially be empty. This is normal. The first certificate will appear after the student completes their first eligible course.

If your student has completed a course but no certificates appear, confirm that you signed in using the student’s official @remotelearning.school email address rather than the parent email address. Certificates are connected to the individual student account.

Is Each Student’s Portal Private?

Yes. Each student’s Certificate Portal is private by default.

Families can personalize the portal with:

  • A student profile photo
  • A cover image
  • A short bio
  • A LinkedIn profile link for an older student, when applicable

Certificates remain organized under the student’s individual profile. The family controls whether the complete portal or an individual certificate is shared with someone else.

For complete personalization instructions, see:

How do I personalize my student’s Certificate Portal?

Are the Certificates Verifiable Online?

Yes. Every issued certificate can be verified online.

Someone viewing a certificate can confirm information such as:

  • The student’s name
  • The credential or course name
  • The issuing organization
  • The issue date
  • The certificate’s current status

Each certificate also has a unique alphanumeric Certificate ID. A certificate can be located by entering that ID into the verification search field at the Certificate Portal.

Online verification adds credibility when certificates are used for homeschool portfolios, evaluations, family records, co-ops, or documentation requested by another organization.

The verification window confirms the certificate name, issuing organization, student name, issue date, and credential status.

What Course Information Is Connected to a Certificate?

Each certificate links to the full syllabus for the completed course.

The syllabus provides supporting documentation about the coursework represented by the certificate. This can be useful for:

  • Homeschool portfolios
  • State or local evaluations, when applicable
  • Family recordkeeping
  • Documenting completed coursework
  • Sharing course information with evaluators
  • Maintaining organized academic records

The certificate and syllabus remain connected, so families do not have to search separately for course documentation when it is needed.

Each certificate page includes a link to the full course syllabus for supporting academic documentation.

Can We Download or Print Certificates?

Yes. From an individual certificate page, select Download Credential to download the certificate as:

  • A certificate image
  • A certificate PDF
  • A certificate QR code

You can print the downloaded image or PDF at home or take the file to a local copy or print shop.

The portal may also display a Get a Printed Version option. This allows families to order a professionally printed and framed certificate through an independent third-party service for a fee.

For complete instructions, see:

How Can We Share Certificates?

Families can share either the student’s complete Certificate Portal or one specific certificate.

Can High School Students Add Certificates to LinkedIn?

Yes. Older students and graduates can add eligible course certificates to LinkedIn.

A certificate can help an older student document academic achievements while preparing for:

  • College applications
  • Scholarships
  • Internships
  • Employment
  • Career exploration
  • Skilled trade programs

The LinkedIn feature can add a certificate permanently to the student’s profile under licenses and certifications, share the achievement to the student’s feed, or do both.

Older students and graduates can add their certificates to Linked IN

Do Certificates Expire?

No. Certificates do not expire.

They remain accessible in the Student Certificate Portal and can continue to be:

  • Viewed
  • Verified
  • Downloaded
  • Printed
  • Shared

Families can return to the portal later when certificates are needed for records, evaluations, portfolios, college preparation, or another purpose.

How Do I Access the Certificate Portal?

Visit:

Open the Student Certificate Portal

Use the student’s official @remotelearning.school email address, not the parent email address.

From the portal homepage:

  1. Select Account in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Login.
  3. Select Login with Email.
  4. Enter the student’s official RemoteLearning.School email address.
  5. Request the secure verification code.
  6. Open the student’s RemoteLearning.School email inbox.
  7. Enter the six-digit code and select Verify.

The portal uses a secure email verification code rather than a traditional password.
The first time you access the portal, you may also be asked to enter the student’s first name, last name, and official school email address before requesting the verification code.

The verification code is sent to the student’s RemoteLearning.School inbox. You can access that inbox at:

Open RemoteLearning.School Webmail

Sign in using the student’s full @remotelearning.school email address and password. The student’s inbox will also receive a notification whenever a new certificate is issued.

For complete login instructions, see:

Does the Certificate Portal Replace JuniorFolio?

Yes. Beginning with the 2026/2027 school year, the Student Certificate Portal replaces JuniorFolio as the home for Homeschool Pro course certificates.

New certificates are issued automatically through the Student Certificate Portal as students complete eligible coursework. Certificates earned in previous school years are also being migrated into the new system.

The migration is being completed gradually, so some older certificates may not appear in the portal immediately. Once the process is complete, both current and past course certificates will be organized together in the Student Certificate Portal.
